Maureen Walker joined the partnership at Crossroads Therapeutic Solutions in May 2016. She is a Registered Psychologist and has a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology (obtained in 2003) from the University of Saskatchewan. Maureen has experience working with individuals, couples, and families since 2001 and she works with children, adolescents, and adults. Previously, Maureen was employed with Family Service Saskatoon, Saskatoon Interval House and the Crisis Shelter at the YWCA.
Maureen has an integrative approach to therapy, using a variety of counselling theories, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR & EMI Therapy, Feminist and Strength-Based Approaches, Systems Theory, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy.
Maureen’s professional experience is in the areas of healthy relationships, couple counselling (including same-sex couples), workplace issues, stress, anger, conflict resolution, trauma, grief, life transition, anxiety and depression, parenting, domestic violence, separation, and divorce.
